St. Henry Church at 3813 Dixie Highway, Elsmere, KY 41018 US - Home

Welcome to St. Henry Parish

Parish Mission:
“Finding the Fullness of Faith”

With Fr. Dwight Longenecker

Fr. Dwight Longenecker, frequent contributor to the “Sonrise Morning Show” on Sacred Heart Radio and EWTN, will be leading a parish mission at St. Henry Church, Elsmere, for three nights on October 20, 21, and 22 beginning at 7 pm each evening.  On the first night, he will tell his conversion story—how he went from being a fundamentalist Baptist to being a minister in the Church of England, and finally came home to the Catholic Church. On Tuesday evening, Fr. Longenecker will discuss twelve “ism’s”—American ways of thinking that undermine the full practice of our Catholic faith. On Wednesday, he will teach us what to do about the “ism’s.”  Fr. Dwight is the parish priest of Our Lady of the Rosary parish in Greenville, South Carolina.

Come and join us to hear this dynamic, encouraging, enlightening, and entertaining speaker. During the mission, a freewill offering will be accepted each evening.  Fr. Longenecker has written several books, which will be available for purchase throughout the mission. For additional information, please call 859-727-2035.

Childcare will be provided during the three nights of the parish mission this week.  Each evening, we will have several 8th grade and high school students, as well as VIRTUS trained adult volunteers providing childcare in the old "Mother's Day Out" room near Wehage Hall in the parish office building.  There is no charge for this service.  We will have activities planned for the children so parents may attend any or all of the three evenings. If you have questions, contact Laura Ryan at 859-342-2540, ext. 342 or  As parents, we are called to raise our children in the faith.  This is no easy task in today's world.  Our parish mission is a wonderful opportunity for us to reenergize and strengthen our hearts and minds for the mission of parenthood to which God has lovingly and confidently called us.
